RF annuloplasty is a minimally invasive method for delivering RF thermal energy to the disc. The discTRODE™ RF catheter electrode system, designed for use with the Valleylab RFG 3C Plus™ generator, provides therapy to patients with chronic back pain due to annular disruption of contained herniated discs. Using direct RF energy, as opposed to resistive heating, discTRODE™ enables coagulation and decompression of disc material.
